Emily’s Empowerment Story

A boudoir photoshoot has been something I have wanted to try for a few years now. However, as someone who has a lot of insecurity and very low self-confidence, it wasn’t really something I sought out to do and really went out of my way for. 

I decided to finally bite the bullet and try and give it a go and hope for the best. I had a fair number of questions leading up to the day of my shoot and Bec was amazing at answering any and all the questions I had and guiding me in the right direction. 

Bec chose an amazing place to use as the shooting location. When I arrived, there was music playing to get the vibe started and it all only went up from there! My hair and makeup were done to really suit my personal style which I loved! I also brought quite a few options to wear for my shoot because I wasn’t too sure what would look best and Bec was amazing at helping me choose my final outfits. 

I was a ball of nerves when I arrived, but it did not take long at all before I was feeling comfortable and relaxed. Once the nerves were away, I was able to really enjoy the shoot as a whole experience instead of being worried about all of the parts of me I am insecure about. Bec was so friendly, easy going and professional throughout the shoot. We had a few jokes and laughs throughout which really made it a fun afternoon. 

Bec took some amazing photos that came out even better than anything I could have ever hoped to achieve. She knew how to pose me and the angles to get to make everything come out as amazing as they did. Towards the end of the shoot, I even had some idea on photos that I thought I might like and Bec was more than happy to help me get these perfect as well. 

This experience with Bec has given me so much more than I could have ever hoped for because not only do I have some amazing photos to look back on and a great memory to think of; but she has also given me back some of the confidence and self-love that I lost over the years.
