I had never really thought about doing a Boudoir shoot before, but once I had saw Bec’s Boudoir Shoot advertisement, I thought about it.

Maybe the idea to do the shoot followed on from doing a couple of really sedate burlesque classes and routines?

Or more likely it was due to having a bit of a rough year and I felt tired, stale, and unattractive, and just wanted to be pampered, feel attractive and try something VERY new and out of my comfort zone!!

Anyway, I would be one of the very last people who would consider doing such a shoot, and Bec guided me through the entire process in a very relaxed, casual, and friendly manner perfectly.

Bec and I had a lovely chat and got to know each other with lots of laughs while she was doing my makeup and hair – which laid the foundation for rapport and trust to be established, which helped immensely when doing the shoot with different poses in the varied sets and encouraged me to feel a lot less nervous. I mentioned I was nervous about doing the shoot and poses at the start, but Bec reassured me I would be fine.

I have the common insecurities about my tummy, thighs, and butt, plus some physical differences – a very swollen arm, limited range of motion of my right arm and neck and a badly timed meniscus tear…lol…. If any pose was too difficult for my neck or arm, Bec was easily able to adjust the pose to make it easier for me. As the shoot progressed, I felt more relaxed and confident, so asked Bec if I could end shoot with a couple of risqué poses (well risqué for me!!). Throughout the shoot we chatted, selected outfits, and laughed A LOT!!

I actually had the shoot done just for me, I didn’t really tell anyone I was doing it, my ME time 😊

But I did show the photos to a great male mate to get a guy’s perspective (since I have no S.O. on the scene) his comments - “yummy pics and it looks like you were having fun doing shoot” “you definitely looked attractive, young and sexy in the pics” “you look absolutely breathtaking”…. Pretty nice comments, ticked all the boxes I was hoping too 😊

My overall experience of the day summed up ‘fun, friendly, so much easier than I thought it would be, spirited, adventurous, teamwork, friendship and being reminded to appreciate my healthy, working relatively okay body (we need those reminders), and surprisingly tiring… the good kind of tiredthough.’  I was really surprised how Bec was able to make me look so good in the photos!! I didn’t recognise me!! But Bec also captured my personality 😊

Bec was fantastic editing photos as per my requests to make my body differences less noticeable but still natural looking ( My swollen arm ) and I was a bit fixated on my wee dodgy smile ( No-one else notices but me.. 😂 ) and Bec was happy to edit them. Bec completely understood and was non-judgemental.

Working with Bec was an amazing and enjoyable experience, and her down to earth manner and professionalism guaranteed a highly successful and fun shoot.

Bec also shared her life with me as well, and that also helped to develop trust in the shoot. Bec was very encouraging throughout shoot to ensure I was doing ok, gave clear directions for poses, and took a few candid pics (which turned out really good). Bec also showed me photos as she was shooting, stating “that photo was great,”which helped me to not worry too much about what I was doing in front of the camera - ‘What if I’m not doing poses well, what if my poses don’t look natural? what if the photos look terrible?’

I’ll definitely enjoy looking at these pictures many many years from now and remember how good I looked back then, and how much fun I had doing the shoot, and doing it with Bec. I highly recommend Bec’s Boudoir Photography services.
